Biography

Valentina Bucaioni is a Ph.D. student in Information Engineering and Science at the University of Siena, Italy, with a focus on Innovation Management. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Florence, Italy, and her Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from the University of Siena, Italy. Her research interests include dynamics of university-firm’s collaborations for the development of publications, patents and products in high-tech industry, and, more specifically, the partnerships and the different impacts of R&D collaborations that occur at different stages of the innovation development process of wearable haptic technology. Her international background includes studies abroad with the Erasmus program at Universiteit Antwerpen in Antwerp (Belgium), Chalmers Teknsika Högskola in Göteborg (Sweden) and research periods at Lunds Universitet in Lund (Sweden), KONČAR – Institut za elektrotehniku in Zagreb (Croatia) and at KU Leuven (Belgium). Currently, she is a scientific trainee at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission in Ispra (Italy).
