Julia Mazzei is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Economics at Scuola Superiore
Sant’Anna (Pisa, Italy), where she has recently defended her Ph.D. dissertation.
Julia’s research interests center around the economics of innovation, with a focus on intellectual property rights. Her Ph.D. thesis provides novel empirical evidence in the field of innovation and innovation policy, contributing to the ongoing debate about the optimal design of the patent system. More recently, she has focused on environmental regulations and their effects on innovation activities.
She has recently published in the international journals Industrial and Corporate Change and Industry and Innovation.
