Biography
Gianluca Murgia, PhD, is an Associate Professor in Engineering Management at University of Siena. He is the Substitute Principal Investigator in the project “Breakthrough innovation and learning by failure in the medical device industry”. His research interests mainly concern innovation management, with a special focus on the analysis of University-Industry collaborations, technology transfer in emerging industries, learning from failures, and digitalization in SMEs. His studies have been published in journals such as International Journal of Production Economics, Journal of Technology Transfer, Journal of Small Business Management, Industry and Innovation, International Journal of Production Research, Computers in Industry. He teaches “Marketing and Innovation Management” in the Master Degree in Engineering Management at the University of Siena.
